1A: 30th Anniversary
Thirty years have passed since the first QSL cards were credited for DXCC. Since that time, the Sovereign Military order of Malta represents a quite rare DXCC entity, expecially on some bands for radio amateurs from Asia and the American West.
Charity Project
1A0C operations share a goal beyond that of simple DXing. We don’t simply want to offer an elusive “new one” to as many OMs as possible – donations collected as a direct result of this DXpedition will be used to finance a project tied to emergency communications operations of CISOM, the civil defense arm of the Order of Malta.
What is CISOM
Humanitarian relief, medical assistance and emergency support for the victims of natural disasters are just a few of CISOM’s tasks. The activities of CISOM are impartial and non-political in nature, emphasizing respect for the beliefs of all individuals, whether muslim, orthodox, catholic, protestant or jewish.
